A My Little Pony 7th Birthday Party
If your household is anything like ours, it’s “ALL PONY- ALL THE TIME”! When we were planning our soon-to-be 7 year old’s seventh birthday party, she didn’t hesitate when choosing a My Little Pony theme.
I was happy to oblige, seeing that Party City and Amazon have SO much MLP stuff! I knew it would be an easy party to plan.
Since she is homeschooled and only sees her friends at the Friday school days, (and I didn’t want to invite the entire class of kids I’ve never seen before) I knew we had to do evites. A quick google search led me to Punchbowl (this is not an affiliate link, just trying to make things easier for you!) and their wide array of MLP invitations!
Invitations, check!
Target had MLP plates and decorations on sale, and everything else we found on Amazon or at Party City.
Decor & supplies, check!
Now to figure out food and games!
A search on Pinterest gave me some good ideas and from there I got more detailed.
ACTIVITY 1- CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS- FIND YOUR CUTIE MARK
The kids LOVED this. Several of them came back for multiple tattoos and some even took them home for a sibling or friend!
ACTIVITY 2- RARITY’S HOOF PAINTING STATION
I figured a bunch of little girls would love to “paint their hooves”, so I went to the dollar store and bought nail polish in every color of the rainbow.
This station was so much fun for them! We even had a boy paint his nail green!

ACTIVITY 3- CREATE YOUR OWN PONY
To make this station I googled “My Little Pony Outline” and found a large image. I also got a Shining Armor image in case anyone wanted a more masculine body to decorate. I printed multiple copies (enough for each guest + 5 more for safety) onto cardstock.
Since we are HUGE crafters and artists, we already had most of the art supplies. Here is a list of what we provided for the kids to use:

- yarn in various colors
- glitter glue (2 packs of 5 or 6 from the dollar store)
- sequins
- shredded paper
- buttons
- foam shapes
- glue sticks (dollar store)
The kids (and adults) had a blast with this one! Apparently, most parents don’t set out craft supplies and let their kids go crazy, so this table was always in use! The glitter glue was the favorite craft supply!
Our front yard has a swing and a trapeze so that kept the kids who weren’t crafting occupied. While all of this was going on, most of the adults were in the backyard munching on food.
The food table is where I had the most fun with the My Little Pony theme!
ALL pony images were found on google. ALL food signs were made by me in Photoshop.

Just a note, the water bottle labels were made by me in Photoshop, printed out, trimmed, and attached to the water bottle with packing tape. It’s SUPER easy, if you’ve never tried it, you should. It really adds a special touch to any event!
To complete our party we had a Pinkie Pie piñata which ended up being SO FUN for the kids (but a RIDICULOUS waste of money -her head fell off immediately without the candy coming out)!
Last, but not least, the birthday cake! We ordered this GIANT cake from Costco and our daughter couldn’t have been happier!
Our daughter kept exclaiming how it was “the best day EVER”, so yes, this crazy My Little Pony party was a HUGE success!
Now I’m going to go collapse!
